One time I had a mystery plant come up in a flower bed. I thought my mom had planted something there since she came that year to help me plant my new beds. This thing grew and grew. I couldn't wait to see what it was. I posted pics on DG for help IDing it. Lo and behold it was knapweed! Thank heavens I got it ID'd before it bloomed! I promptly pulled it out.
