What I long ago learned about Mentzelia is that the leaves...and sometimes other parts of the plant...stick very well to your clothing and shoes if it gets a chance. Many a time I had to try to get them off my shoes, socks or pants. Not easy! Sometimes it helps to wait until the leaves dry out.
