My missing bird mystery is solved. A few minutes ago I saw a hawk swoop down on a young rooster and pop him on the head. The hens and rooster ran and the hawk flew away. The rooster is ok but a bit shaken. That is why my bigger birds are gone i am sure. I hope they did not eat the Cardinals. Oh Lord. what an awful thought.
