Toni, how did the roses do in the snow? Has the snow melted?
We were supposed to get a severe storm with hail a few nights ago, so I went out and cut bouquets also. Looking at the beautiful bouquets made me resolve to bring flowers in more often.
A funny thing happened last night. I was admiring the blossoms on my Fairy Tale roses, and wondering how many kinds there are, so I googled them. I came up with this site: http://www.treloarroses.com.au... and saw that lavender one, Novalis, and instantly started thinking of how to get it here from Germany or Australia! The 'Renmark's Rose' is another one I decided I had to have. I'm sitting here thinking, who do I know who is going overseas who could bring these back? Could I convince Palatine to get these roses? and other crazy obsessive things. Then, reason kicks back in and i decide to check our database and HMF to see if any nursery or people here have these. Lovey dubby Lovey dubby Lovey dubby And what do I find? I find the other names for these roses! Novalis is also known as 'Poseidon', and I have that one ordered from Palatine. Renmark's Rose is Queen of Hearts, and that one is already growing in my yard! Rolling my eyes. Rolling my eyes. Well at least I'm consistent. *Blush*

A few weeks ago, I bought 'Electric Blanket'. I decided to plant it next to one that looked like it--'Salmon Vigorosa;. Then, as I'm browsing rose catalogs online, I see 'Bad Birnbach' and I have to have it. A little research *Blush* then showed me I already have it...two of them, in fact.
As i update my tags and spreadsheets this winter, I am going to check the names on my roses so I don't do this again! Shrug!
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.
