The one Salvia I'm not going to grow for the second time and/or anymore is Salvia mexicana 'Limelight'. It's still not blooming as of today and I don't even have the bloom stems yet.

I planted it this year for the first time, but not anymore! It looks gorgeous in bloom (in pics), but I'll save the money and space for a Salvia that will bloom earlier for me in zone 6a.

I keep looking at it and waiting for the buds. The flower time is:

Late summer or early fall
Fall
Late fall or early winter

Mexican Sage (Salvia mexicana 'Limelight')

I noticed Chelle had flower buds on Oct. 1 and she is in N.E. IN, zone 5b.

I hope mine blooms well before we get any frost or freeze here.
