You need to wait til next year to plant ten out if they are expected to be hardy!

Choose a spot with full sun, and make sure you can water it!

When it pups you can split them off of repeated stomp them down and they will eventually stop trying to grow, and they will pup elsewhere, I'd plant it 4-5' from any structure.
