You can also go to the Iris Database here:

The Irises Database

and click on "search by characteristics" which gets you to this page:

http://garden.org/plants/group...

Then check the box next to "Purple Based" in the Foliage Field, and you'll see a list of about 700 irises that are known to have purple based foliage.
