Sorry it took so long for me to reply to this one - the plants are small specimens of Alocasia gageana, closely allied to A. odora. While A. odora can get huge, A. gageana will stay more around 2 to 3 feet under good conditions. They do need to be dug up in Fall and kept from freezing as they are not hardy in IL.
