Thanks Evelyn for the advice. I am thinking at this point that I will just go ahead and try one if it worked for you. I have some very nice shade on the south side of house and there are birch trees so the temps under the trees are always a whole 20° cooler than inside the fence, of course the hostas are there but these would make good companion plants I think.
By the way, I looked at Google images and Brunnera 'Alexander's Great' is not that blue. As usual Terra Nova cannot stay away from the Photo Shopping. Whistling (I still want one!)
