Polly, I'm wondering if you've got some other species, as I've only known them to produce foliage in spring. The foliage on mine looks very much like Daffodil foliage, only a bit wider. I had tried pushing my zone limits and planting some spider lily type Lycoris a few years ago, and they did produce some foliage in the fall. The foliage on those was narrower and deeper green.
