My broccoli was planted in September and it is how just getting large enough to begin putting on "heads". We have had several mornings with tempts in the mid-20's and the broccoli looks fine, as does all the onion and garlic plants. We have certainly had a lot more cold weather in the late fall than I can ever remember. I think it was mid-December last year before we even got down to freezing. We have now had 6 mornings in the 20's and will have (at least) two more mornings at or below freezing mid-week.
