Mike - You're so right! I traditionally don't have blackspot because of my lack of humidity. However, after all those rains we had in September that flooded half the state, my poor yard looked horrible! Some roses were worse off than others.. in fact, some STILL have blackspot all over them. Most of the leaves are dead due to heavy frosts/snow, but still..
