Julie, thats a great point. I used to just have to have the newest ones. I remember one year waffling back and forth...do I pay my truck payment, or do I buy How Beautiful Heaven Must Be?? That darn daylily won out! Now I dont mind waiting a couple of years so I can get a good double fan of a favorite when it shows up on the lily auction.

It does seem it is much easier waiting a few years, since now....to be honest...theres just so few new intros that are that much different from whats already out there. The teethy craze has taken over the seed market it seems. I decided to buy a bunch of seeds this year from newer intros, and it was hard to find some that werent infused with "teeth" in one or both parents. That craze just hasnt touched me yet.
