Sway, I know! Just didn't give it *honest* thought at planting time, and I don't know these plants. I just jumped in there like a mad woman & did that. I've been covering it with a sheet if it goes below 35 or so. Had about 28 so far, nothing mushy or brown. When it started to poke into the 40's at night sometimes, I quit watering the whole thing, it's under porch roof @ west end. There's a plastic storage tub of water under it but on a day like today with no sun, it doesn't get warmed well. I guess I'll have some reports about Haws outside for winter in this area. I've gone back'n'forth in my mind many times, and decided I don't want to tear it up trying to save plants that may or may not need saving. The whole thing would have to be redone whenever somebody digs around in there much which would mix the aquarium gravel on top with the 'soil' under it. In the spring I'll add more cuttings of whatever survived & go from there.
Greg, nice collection! The variegated one is wild. Please add pics of blooms when you see them, even if they aren't the most exciting of flowers.
