I was admiring the beautiful Lantana in some landscapes. It was a low-growing yellow variety. Being totally ignorant (damn dumb Yankee), I went to the local independent nursery and bought 12 Lantana plants (thinking they were gonna be short). Ha! They sold me the wild variety and it is everywhere in my yard now. Yep, I have to pull them out and my dog pulls out the roots right along with me. He says the roots taste yucky, but he will eat a leaf or two when he feels the need.
Moral of the story: Research, research, research before you purchase.
