I intended to comment,... Don,... that I visited Alice many times back then....workin' out of Corpus goin' to and from drilling rigs,,,as well as some of the Drilling Companies headquarters being in Alice....I really like the ruggedness of South Texas....entirely different ecosystem than Southeast Texas (coast & inland). We have several friends/aquaintances in the Baytown-Dayton-Liberty area. In MHO ....great area for gardening too!
