TY. I'm just left sad about all of the plants sold with wrong labels on purpose because emotionally, people would rather have a 'Christmas cactus' than a 'Thanksgiving cactus' and, as we all know, there's no right or wrong with common names. Just more common vs. less common. Making the leap to the correct botanical epithet (for that day anyway) is easily mistaken when led astray by the very source that's supposed to tell you in the first place. Why they can't just say "Schlumbergera" is a huge mystery.

The Wiki article on Schlumbergera has an excellent timeline of the taxonomy.

Also discovered this cool article this morning, floral symmetry:
CC blooms are actinomorphic. TC blooms are zygomorphic.

The golden rule: Do to others only that which you would have done to you.

The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The 2nd best time is now. (-Unknown)

Try to be more valuable than a bad example.
