Over-watering kills far more orchids than under-watering. Most orchids do best when watering ONLY after the fir bark mix is completely dry. This might take 2-3 days when the temperature is in the 90's or 5-7 days when the temperature is in the 60-70's. Just be sure your plants NEVER sit in water, that the orchid mix is extremely well-draining, and the pot has large bottom drainage holes (and even better, that the pot has slits/holes in the side-walls). I like mesh-pots/baskets and have most of my orchids in those types of pots/baskets.
