We have bought them in past. This year, in early October, I ordered 2 from a friend whose son's school was selling them. In late October we adopted 2 kittens. A couple of weeks ago, my friend delivered the 2 beautiful poinsettias - and the silly kittens immediately started nibbling on them like goats. Crazy! We have 2 older cats who have never paid any attention to poinsettias in the past, so although I know they are poisonous to cats, I thought they were also not very attractive to them. Either our old cats are picky, or the new cats are omniverous.
My husband was home for lunch, so I sent the poinsettias to work with him. They'll look nice in the office and the kittens will have to go back to grazing on cat chow.
