No they don't grow faster in beer cups. Just saves on the hydro bill and I don't rune the house from all that extra humidity. I plant the seedlings in the garden June or July , but they get set back because most of the soil falls away from them when I divide them.

Actually is doesn't get that cold here. Tonight it is minus one degrees Celsius. Some nights it goes down to minus 20 , but that does not happen very often. Buffalo NY is very close to where I live.
