Well, my point was that it could still be "Chocolate Ball" despite the fact that it performed differently for Swayback. Like I said before, microclimates and drainage can make a big difference in how a plant overwinters. I'd imagine drainage would be a big issue since it is a Sedum, after all. I'm no Sedum expert, but I've not seen any other variety that looks like your plant other than 'Chocolate Ball'. Did you ever contact your source about it? Other than that, you'd have to get a DNA test.....which of course is a ridiculous suggestion!
