I thought it was easy to grow hostas in the North? It's the south that does not get the required cold spell.

People in Canada grow them. LOL.

I joined around this time last year and I have gotten no benefit from it at all. I got more support from PlantDelights.com as far as advice about hostas with a low chill requirement. 'Hostas for Warm Climates'.

I have read that certain people amend their soil with compost and I know that hostas love alfalfa.
