Of course the 'edges' come from different traits; the plicata is one trait & the Emma Cook pattern another. In SDBs the 'pumila' fall spot leaves some color to make an edge. In red amoena SDBs I am trying to increase the area of the spot to cover the entire fall. When Paul Black saw my 'Reddy Set' (avatar) he mentioned the nice little edge. I said that was what I was trying to cover & he looked at me like I had 2 heads. Perhaps I do, but Jayne Ritchie in WA state has the same idea.
