Fascinating for sure Gordon. May you have great luck with the plants.

My K cup garden is doing well. Broccoli are about 3 inches, Agastache plant I got from Allison and collectedt seeds from have all sprouted, red basil, lemon basil and reg. basil all sprouted and doing well. Cayenne, Jalapeno peppers have first set of leaves, Black Krim and Bloody Butcher tomatoes have first set of leaves and been moved to the bathroom which is the warmest room in the house. I'll wait til they get another set of leaves before moving to larger containers. I'm hoping to get them outside early this year under my glass greenhouse domes I have. The Peas I planted Jan 19th sprouted and where planted in 5 gallon pails with a mix of potting soil, leaf mulch and compost are now about a foot tall and have latched onto the trellis setup I made. Hoping for an early harvest of peas this spring. Brought a few more five gallon pails of compost inside so it can defrost before I mix it to fill larger indoor containers for transplanting. I'm using my weekly Turtle water (80 gallon tank with two 10 inch red eared sliders)that I siphon to spray and water my plants.
