I love the buttercups also! Oh heck, I love almost all of the wildflowers...except those really invasive exotics like that bull nettle! The Texas Thistle that I tolerate just a little bit of it in my yard is better. We're in severe drought, so the wildflowers (outside of watered yards, of course) aren't so great this year. Don't remember the last time we had even 1/10 of an inch here. Maybe in January? I think my yard is attracting more nectar-seeking insect life than usual....possibly because they're not finding that much in the wild. Not to mention the baby snakes and the lizards of all kinds. I call this container the 'lizard pool', just the right size, I guess, because they seem to prefer it over the larger water containers.

I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White
Integrity can never be taken. It can only be given, and I wasn't going to give it up to these people. Gary Mowad
