On another thread there is discussion about blooming time and order, with interest in learning what cultivars begin their first blooms the very latest regardless of what the registered "season" might be. That is, the last to begin blooming with an FFO/first-bloom, not re-blooms or final blooms of a cultivar that started to bloom at any earlier point in people's gardens.

Though many things can impact the time when a cultivar first begins its summer bloom, such as temperature, water, nutrients, winter-over conditions the previous season, fan maturity, etc. we would like to learn what cultivars tend to begin their first blooms the very latest in your individual garden and zone.

There are thousands of daylilies listed from EE to L (and any of those may be the last to bloom in your garden) ... but there are also comparatively few rare ones listed as very-late (VL). Again, those may not actually be the ones to begin their first FFO blooms as the very last to show up in your garden.

If your growing season doesn't show up in your avatar information, please indicate what zone your garden is in (http://planthardiness.ars.usda...), and if it is known, show what date the cultivar's FFO appeared.

These are my two last FFO's from 2013 for which I am certain they were not reblooms, with their FFO date and their registered season:

Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Sings the Blues') FFO 2013: 6/30 (ML)
Thumb of 2014-03-03/chalyse/a41ef2
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Lullaby Baby') FFO 2013: 7/2 (EM)
Thumb of 2014-03-03/chalyse/d4497d

REMEMBER :D Looking for:
1) The last cultivar/s to bloom with:
2) First Flower to Open (FFO) that is from:
3) First Scape in a Clump that is:
4) Not a Rebloom Scape
