At first I wondered if a *Test Forum* for Apartment/Small Space Growing would be possible, maybe giving it a certain time frame to see if it got enough traffic to warrant a permanent forum on the subject but that could possibly mean way too much work for Dave, especially if it had to be deleted at a later date due to lack of use. I think I remember on another site someone starting a forum for African Violets and Gesneriads that ended up having to be deleted because of lack of anyone posting.

I'm in a decent sized house rather than a small apartment and I have container plants both inside the house as well as outside but I consider the Container Gardening Forum more suited for outdoor growing, like containers on porches or around the garden.

For Apartment and Small Space Gardening I think threads in the Houseplant Forum are the best fit. The native habitat of ALL plants is outside, planted in the earth/ground but many of us grow them inside our homes, some of us just have larger spaces with more windows. Folks in smaller homes with less windows for adequate light can supplement the lighting conditions for their plants by using incandescent or fluorescent lighting and placing their plants at different heights beneath the lights to take advantage of the amount of light needed.
