Thank you!! I did have that on my list, now that I know it is not just a bag of poo! LOL. I have a friend that attracts worms with used coffee grounds. I will get the cow manure compost for now! Speaking of manure I still have and use the Milorganite and the daylilies love it, so do my Hostas. It will repel rabbits, squirrels and cats because they do not like the smell, but keep it away from dogs. LOL, they like to roll around in it.
Yes, dogs are a BIG problem when it comes to organic fertilizer. What they can't eat, they roll in!
(Why, oh why, do we love dogs???)
Another point being missed is the water. City water with chlorine could be killing off beneficial things in the soil.
People on processed water have had problems with horses getting colic due to chlorine killing off stomach enzymes.
Since I'm now just about eyeball to eyeball with my current daylily blooms (some over 51" and blooms over 6 1/2"), I don't think I'll be adding alfalfa to encourage more growth.
Not until I get these that have gotten super large re-located. (That was on Ocean Solutions, Milorganite, Epsom salts and a little cow manure)
What is the desired growth goal anyhow?
