I've never seen the Crows chase the Hawks but Mockingbirds are always chasing the Crows ... Mockers are nesting all over now and very protective of their nest territory. Last year there was a mocker nest low in shrub in my yard. I'm not sure how many eggs were in the nest but none made it ... as hard as the mocker parents tried protecting their nest, crows and snakes were around and I think they got all the eggs.
