That's usually all I add, a compost dressing in early spring. I also like Espoma Rose Tone even though it isn't 100 % organic (it has some fast manufactured nitrogen) It can burn if you use it when first planting or potting up though.
Espoma Plant Tone is more organic and can also be used for roses. Either one is good for when they start leafing out.
