Gorgeous birds, Rose!
The Wren are outstanding little things...So fun to watch, and not intimidated by your presence either. This gourd is hanging on our covered deck, not 5 feet from my rocking chair. We've had them by the front door as well, trying to start a nest in the mailbox! We have to make certain that it's closed all the time. They do try to nest in some of the strangest places, and I love their 'call' as they make their approach to feed the young...It's almost like they're announcing "incoming"! In fact that's exactly what DH and I say when we hear their 'approach'... "Incoming"!!!
It is quite a treat to have them raising the family here!
