One day last week I received a tree-mail from someone named *englishrose14* -- asking for Iris rhizomes. She was asking about Clarence -- I responded and told her to send me her name and address, and if I had any left over, I'd send her some. She did not respond to that. A couple of days later, I received a new tree-mail from her asking if I was still giving away Iris rhizomes, and how many would she be *allowed to have*.

On a hunch, I went to her profile to check her out. She just joined ATP in February of this year, and had only made two posts - both of them asking for freebies. I alerted Dave and with his magical computer skills, he was able to determine that this is the same person who keeps joining ATP under a variety of names, and asking for free plants, seeds, etc. A Google Earth search reveals that she has no garden at her home, despite her ongoing scam efforts -- so she is likely selling these things on Ebay. Also -- she is known for not making good on her end of the deal -- never sends money for postage, etc.

It was suggested that I mention this here on the Iris forum, in case she approached anyone else for rhizomes.
Thoughts become things -- choose the good ones. (www.tut.com)
