True Tom, truthfully I don't know that much about irises. I'm a lily freak and starting to branch out a little if you will. I had gotten the iris from a friend and was just curious. I guess if I truly analyzed it as much as I would a lily. I probably would have caught the smaller "differences." Sorry if you guys are repeating yourselves. I just started perusing this forum more. I wasn't sure if weather has as much bearing on coloration such as veining and depth of color as it does with lilies. That was my first iris and I'm hoping to see my first blooms of 'devil's riot' in a week or so. Thanks for the info to all.
