So right Greg. Especially if you pull the ID tag up and then stand there trying to remember if you have shared that particular iris with anyone under an assumed name. I will share any iris I have but it is important to me to know that I have represented them correctly. I don't mind getting an iris with a 'maybe' attached to its name because if it is beautiful I will love it but I will treat it as a noid.

Joe, I would suggest visiting various iris gardens and staying on sites such as this one until you see an iris that you just KNOW is match for yours. Then buy, beg or barter a rhizome and plant it in your garden to see if it is the same iris. The great thing about this site is the iris growers here have such varied tastes that you will see all types of irises from old treasures to the newest beauties. Your iris is just lovely and good luck with the naming adventure.
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?
