On May 10th my 'Sum and Substance' showed it's first renewed signs of life, and now just a few days later look at it, I am so pleased it made it back.

Went around taking progress pics of the Hostas, I will try to name most of them some of them I do not know the names of.

AlboMarginata: Easy to see why this is such a common Hosta, it does so well here.

Francee: This Hosta has progressed in a phenomenal fashion, loving in so far, just the second year

Patriot: So far after three years this plant and ones related to it have had to really struggle in my garden, but it put on an amazing growth spurt early this year.

June: Very pleased with this second year plant

So Sweet: Another Hosta that has really done well here

Pizzaz: I have several of these and so far they are all lagging behind in performance, but they are very young plants, they were planted late in the year last year. So too early to judge.

Seedling: I used these to make a border, they are like most plain green hostas, very strong plants. Looks like they are all sending up flower stalks.

Not sure about this plant, suspect from the way it is growing it could be another Francee.

Elegans:

Zounds: This plant was one of my first hostas and it has really struggled to survive, but this year it has multiplied and three of the plants are actually looking pretty strong now.

August Moon: This plant flowered very early, and it is one of my newest Hostas, seems to be doing pretty well.

Bressingham Blue: Returns early, but never seems to multiply much, always looks healthy though.

Barbara Ann: Looked very nice with good growth early, but was almost destroyed in one night by slugs, it had many more leaves early on.

Fire and Ice: Only the second year with this plant, I always feel it looks frail and weak, but it really has done pretty good. This is a very bright hosta.

First Frost:

Dream Queen:

American Halo:

Earth Angle:
