Seedfork - Thanks for all the links and info.

Miss Mimie - You and I are both glad I started this thread topic! I am wanting to know all this advice and info because I do have intentions of naming and registering some of my seedlings. There is a lot to observe and record when you start seriously considering what makes a daylily worth registering. Some of the specifics had me a little confused, though. This forum group is awesome with their answers and help!

Char, Tina, Michelle and others - Y'all have brought up some great points! Thanks, too!

Maybe I haven't been growing daylilies long enough (about 5 years), but I can honestly say I've never grown or even seen an invasive daylily!!! Does anyone have one they consider invasive because of the underground rhizomes???

I know ditchlilies are supposed to be invasive, but here I had a few dozen and they all died after 2 years. Maybe too dry, too hot, and too sandy here for them?
