I saw your photo in the main daylily database page, tiptonla - how awesome! Hurray! You can watch for raffles in the Events Calender (http://garden.org/barn/events/) or the Ideas tab (in the blue bar at the left of your ATP window, or http://garden.org/ideas/ and just enter "raffle" in the search box). It's a ton of fun, and raffle tickets (or not-a-raffle-raffle tickets Rolling on the floor laughing ) can be bought for 5 acorns each.

Also, you can decorate your posting profile by buying icons with acorns. Under your profile page (the little human head on the top row of the blue bar at left) you can click "manage your micro-badges" and "buy" icons to represent your interests, location, etc.

Sometimes there is even a plants-for-acorns auction in the Classified and Group Buys forum (http://garden.org/forums/searc...). These are just informal happenings that people come up with for ways to share and earn acorns.

If you save up 125 acorns, you might also be able to use them to get an ATP t-shirt ... just tree-mail me if you save up enough and I'll help you check if they are offered at that time.

And, you earn acorns each time you post a picture of your plants in the database for each type of sub-category (bloom, leaves, scape, etc), and for paragraph-length helpful comments left for a cultivar. There may be other ways that acorns are earned and can be spent, and if anyone knows of it I hope they will post @tiptonla
