This is Ted Baker's garden, not mine. My gardening skills aren't at that level yet (he's like level 80 and I'm maybe 3 Hilarious! ) I agree, it is a tranquil place. And what a place! He's done a wonderful job developing it. He lives on Salt Spring Island and he opens up his garden to the public during iris season (plus sells the irises). The last garden shot (which does have the deck on the left) has many of his siberians. Beyond it, are the rest of his siberians - I haven't posted those photos yet. Intermingled are his miniature tall beardeds and dwarf beardeds. He has another garden that has all manner of other plants including large rhodos. Then another garden has his tall beardeds. He's quite a caretaker of his property - I don't remember seeing a weed. I visited twice: second week and fourth week in May. The last visit had the best display as the TBs were open, almost all of the sibs, and minis (plus his peonies yay! Hurray! ).

Bold Vision lives up to its name, right? Really nice. One thing I've noticed from irises here, and not just in his garden, was that the coloration along the edge/rim (if distinguishable from the rest of the falls' colour) tends to be wider. Protocol's white band along the falls was over half an inch wide, for instance, similarly witnessed in Bold Vision. One of the hybridizers noted it on a Japanese Iris growing in Victoria and said it was due to differences in climate and/or soil.
