My Dream Weaver has huge hips this year also! We're canning this week--maybe I'll make rose jelly? It's my first time canning, so we're experimenting with all kinds of stuff. I had one jar erupt all over the place yesterday as it was cooling. What causes that? I need to find a forum for canning, I guess!
Last night we had a massive storm. Today the grass is brilliant glowing green from all the lightning. It looks like we got a little over 2" of rain....in less than 1 hour. The weather service said winds were 70 mph at the Air Force Base near me and I don't doubt it, judging by the size of pots that blew around the yard.
I think today should be just a gardening day. I'll finally plant the roses that have been patiently waiting in pots, and prune the HTs for fall bloom, and maybe start the fall garden!
If I can resist pulling weeds, that is. I love weeding right after a good rain!
Too bad today is payroll day and I can't *really* devote the whole day to gardening. Sigh...I hate it when work gets in the way of play. Lovey dubby
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.
