bearsearch said:I was rooting around in old posts today and came across this thread on white / near white daylilies. These are all good photos of some very nice daylilies but it seems to me that none of them are actually white. With the exception of Joan Senior, I don't believe I have ever seen a "white" daylily and the J.S. I saw wasn't all that white. Excluding the throats of the flowers are there any truly white daylilies? I bought a Heavenly White Lightning last year which has not bloomed for me yet and based on the photos in this thread and the data base I think I might be rather disappointed. I'm not a real fan of white flowers but I thought it would be good to have at least one and I'm not sure I made a good choice though the size, shape, bud count and dormancy all suit my desires. Any recommendations for a better white northern hardy daylily?

There may be others, but Sagarmatha is very white. This is the first year it has bloomed for me and I held it up to all my near whites and it is much whiter than any others.
