Seeing the favorite red thread I decided that since nothing is blooming, that starting a new post with another color was a good idea. I am new on here so if this is a repeat please forgive me. I would have done a favorite eyed post but knew that would take me forever to pick favorites. Please add your favorites.

I LOVE white daylilies. I guess I love all colors of daylilies. Smiling Thanks to all who posted these lovely photos. It is a great way to brighten a gray day here. I grow most of the ones Dot posted except Irish Halo. I really like Heavenly Angel Ice, but don't have it yet. Cindy, I was glad to see a photo of President Ronald Reagan in your garden. Is it a good grower?

I have grown seedlings for 3-4 years and seem to have an abundance of white ones. Here is one I registered this year.

POLAR SNOW

Below are three seedlings out of POLAR SNOW

This seedling bloomed from a seed as I was discarding seeds that I didn't think were firm enough. At the last minute I buried it in a pot on the deck and I love the resulting seedling. I grow FRINGY, LAST SNOWFLAKE AND SNOW CRYSTAL, but this one is as white if not whiter than any of these. I have a name reserved for it: ICE CRYSTAL
Thumb of 2011-11-09/farmerbell/4d0755

My camera always wants to put some pink color in the photos, but the unedited photo below of ICE CRYSTAL shows the color I see with my eyes.
Thumb of 2011-11-09/farmerbell/6148e8

ICE CRYSTAL was a first year seedling and had good bud count and branching. The bloom is very flat as show in the picture below.

This seedling is a sibling to POLAR SNOW.

Wow people, what a turn out on a dreary day. I have Heavenly Angel Ice and it does ok for me but since it is dormant, it could do a lot better. Dormants don't do so well here in the heat of Texas.

Ann of course you know my favorite is Ice Crystal. I also really like the next to last pic of the one with some teeth on it, and the one above it is also very nice. You have some gorgeous white seedlings.

Polar Snow is showing off as well, love it.

Thanks everyone for showing off your babies.

I only had one scape this year and this is its second year but I think for our climate, it is doing fine. I really expect it to do better the longer it is here.

Oh I am just drooling all over the place. White is so pure in itself.
Ice Crystal and Polar Snow are stunning and the kids are awesome. May have to look at them further. The only one of these I grow is Wonder Of It All and just got it this year so no bloom yet.
They are all so beautiful everyone.

Oh Ann, I am sooooooo impressed with your seedling ICE CRYSTAL! And I love that it shows some sculpting as well as beautiful form. What a gorgeous daylily! Please keep us updated as to how that one does for you, OK?

And Dot, I'm fascinated by the green tones on some of those whites! Does IRISH HALO really show that much green? I love it! I would love to get a white that shows a lot of green, especially in the border. Is there one that people would recommend above all others as a white that has more green?

I have three whites that have bloomed so far:

Lime Frost has a green throat - although it is not that visible on the photos. But I agree with Betty, I need MORE green in the throats!

Ann, your Polar Snow (what a great name) is beautiful and I just love that seedling named Ice Crystal. Nice job! ~Jan

Stphanie, I hope WOIA does wonderfully for you. It is the fastest increaser I grow, a long bloomer and fertile. Betty, you have some wonderful whites. Maybe you can try some pollen dabbing among them. Fred, I absolutely LOVE your white spiders. I don't grow dips but from what I read, do I understand that Dan is converting some of them? That would be awesome. Thanks for comments about my whites, There are so many lovely ones posted. I wonder which one you grow is the whitest? Cindy, your white seedling looks really white. For me the whitest I grow is SNOW CRYSTAL and ICE CRYSTAL(name reserved).

Yes Irish Halo is really that green.

Fringy is very green also especially early morning. The picture of Fringy was actually the last flower that was on a rebloom scape on a very hot day. It has more green and more base color which is a soft peach color, on cooler days. Fringy was a huge fan when I got it in 2009, it bloomed over and over again and was the last flower blooming for me that year.

You can't beat Last Snowflake which has quite a bit of green on the edges early morning, which lightens as the day progresses. It blooms very late and has been gorgeous every year since I got it in 2007. It has a special place on top of an old tree stump in the back year.

Dot

Heres a green one for ya, Mint Octopus (Stamile) love it!!

I think I would take Irish Halo to all of your whitest whites at least once and then your fringed and /or most ruffled to that. It could be a powerhouse.

Gorgeous, everyone! Does anyone grow Joan Senior? I just put it in this year and haven't seen it bloom yet. Some pics look white with a yellow throat, some look all light yellow. ??
