When a first year daylily meets or exceeds all expectations, I think it deserves to be seen again, especially when it began blooming May 29. stopped a couple of weeks ago, but put up two more scapes that just began blooming this morning. This picture was taken this morning at 9:00 a.m. in full sun, and it speaks for itself as to the quality of the blooms. Royal Frosting is a wonder to us, and we hope it will always perform this way. I had doubts because it is an dormant Apps hybrid and I thought it wouldn't do well here. Of course, we had a very cold winter, so maybe that's the reason, so we will have to wait and see what the future holds, but so far, we are absolutely loving this daylily.
