Sounds like you have a good thing going with your club!

Just an update to the NADS meeting yesterday. Nicole gave a great talk. Saw LOTS of pictures of some of her seedlings. They were mostly patterned daylilies, although there a few others as well. We got to see some of her garden and I found out that she likes butterflies. Smiling

She said that all her daylilies are grown outside. No pictures are taken in the greenhouse. She does have one, but only uses it for hybridizing. Once the pods are set she moves them outside. Seedlings are planted in pots. Because of location, she can go from seedling to bloom in 9 months.

We also got a sneak peak at one of her 2015 introductions. Really different. She has grown it in the garden for at least 5 years, but never introduced it as it is so different. Nicole finally decided that if she still liked it 5 years later she should introduce it. I wanted to post a link to give you a peak too, but I could not even find it on her site, nor anywhere else on the web. She did have its picture on one of her handouts, so I took a picture of that. Forgive me for the quality. The name speaks for itself. She said that it always looks like some variation of this.

Edited to add that the intro price will be very pricy. I think she said around $400!
