I hope it grows for you! I always wanted one after seeing at the Berkeley Botanical Gardens but didn't have room for something that big at the time nor did I want to try to keep it alive during winter (my zone 9b at the time wouldn't have cut it) since it originated in the frost free cloud forest in the mountains of Chiapas, Mexico. In the Berkeley, they had it growing in a protected area under trees.
