Hilarious! seedfork that is true, as long as you know that you don't know

What Fred said about the seeds, most people that buy daylily seeds know that they don't come true from seed.

Well the main reason people buy daylily seeds is to get the genes from the parents. Since some of the parents are the higher dollars daylilies and some can't afford them then they buy the seeds to get the genes to use. Or even if they could buy the plants it saves a whole season or more if you were making your own seed. Also, there are a lot of seed buyers from other countries that would never be able to get the plants imported in so they buy seed.
There is a chance you will get some future intros from those seeds but then there is the chance you will only get plants that you will never register but can use for the genes from the parents (bridge plant). Some people buy the seeds to get lots of garden plants for a lesser price than buying daylilies; of course this is the lower priced seeds not the high dollar seeds
