I plant seeds that I find growing in random places, like islands in parking lots. I don't care if my lilies are named or not, as long as they are something I am not selling. Random lilies can give you an extended growing season as different characteristics may come up through the seedlings. What a wonderful banking filler or garden clump! And if you get some you deem spectacular, you can just develop those and give away the other ones to the neighbors...or Guerilla Garden them to the side of the road.
Don't make fear based decisions.
