JB, you can add new cultivars to the database. Go here: http://garden.org/plants/searc... and scroll down to the bottom and at the very bottom, click on "Add a new plant to the database". All you do is fill in the information:

Primary Common name: Spider Plant
Accepted Bot. Name: Chlorophytum comosum
Cultivar: (add name here)

Then click on Proceed to Step 2 and it will be entered, waiting a database administrator to approve it. You will get a message once approved.
