I absolutely love the brown Irises. It was an old brown Iris that I found growing at an old homestead, when I was a child, that started my interest in Irises. I found it while bicycling out on the dirt roads made in preparation for development of a meadow that was destined to become a subdivision. I dragged my Dad back to it that evening, and he dug up a clump and brought it home to be planted in our garden. I loved that Iris -- and I still am partial to those *old* colors.
