Irises that bloom in the spring and at another point, mostly summer and fall, during the same year are called re-bloomers. There are many hybridizers that are encouraging this trait in their new irises. As a result there are many newer irises that are re-bloomers. If you like this trait in an iris check the plant database on this forum under irises to see which ones are re-bloomers and in what zones they re-bloom best. Also, most vendors include this trait in the description of their irises when they are listed for sale. Enjoy your new bloom!
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?
