I have visited both places a lot as my son lived there and moved about quite a bit. Has relatives in the Squim area. I have imagined moving there and read avidly about gardening and weather in all parts of western Washington and Oregon. Eastern sounds too dry and hot. I don't suppose it will ever happen. DH is soooooo staunchy uber-conservative in his politics it affects where he would live.
Oh, well, not like I am looking at a 50 year horizon.
